Get Ready! It's time for the 7th Annual Financial Fitness for Life Training Conference. The economy seems to be showing signs of recovery and the latest unemployment numbers show slow but steady improvement in the job market. But are we really out of the woods yet? The theme of this year's conference is "Financial Crisis and Its Aftermath." The conference will showcase the newly-released Teaching Financial Crises curriculum, along with the best online tools and resources for teaching about the recent meltdown. Guest speakers from the Illinois State Treasurer's Office and Edward Jones will discuss the aftermath of the crisis and what is being done to protect consumers. Key topics of discussion will include the Credit Card Act and the new federally-mandated Consumer Financial Protection Bureau which is dedicated to "making sure consumers have the information they need to choose the consumer financial products and services that are best for them." Conference participants will receive *FREE* the Teaching Financial Crisis curriculum, the newly-revised Financial Fitness for Life curriculum, and other hands-on activities and resources to take back to their students and clients.
